Same job. Same hours. Same conditions.
Different bodies.
It’s time PPE caught up.
- Women have been making do with base-layers never designed for the demands of the job.
- Not all bras are created equal - most were built for short-term wear, not 10+ hour shifts.

"This bra exceeded my expectations. It is exceptionally comfortable, lightweight and ideal for all-day wear. I thought underwire bras were for support but was amazed how well this design performed. Excellent fit, soft and breathable. It's quickly become my "go-to bra" and I highly recommend it!"

"Being fitted & supplied with the right bra for my job was a game-changer. I’m on my feet all day in the medical field and for the first time ever, taking off my bra isn’t the first thing I want to do when I get home!"

"As a qualified Occupational Therapist, the importance of proper support for women in shiftwork is essential. Strength
is in the Unseen.
For more than 20 years, Catherine has experience across business ownership, operations and principal-level recruitment in the Resources sector, developing a deep, practical understanding of business and site life. Five years ago, a weekend passion project as a Stylist & Bra Fit Specialist revealed a pattern she couldn’t ignore: women working FIFO were consistently asking for a comfortable, supportive bra for work.
What began as a creative outlet revealed a major gap. Women working long, demanding shifts were relying on bras not designed for extended operational wear - a shortfall in PPE supply that can contribute to discomfort, distraction and operational strain over extended hours. Shaped by firsthand insight into site conditions and operational demands, Catherine developed a long-term vision for a workforce-focused base-layer solution.
With the backing of a 40-year friendship and Jocelyn’s expertise across Contracts Administration, Operations and Systems, the vision was translated into a structured program, establishing Undercover Essentials as a specialist supplier of essential base-layer PPE - support bras and professional fit verification - tailored for women in frontline, shift and operational roles.
Our business is built on more than two decades of combined experience, a lifelong friendship and a shared commitment to doing better for women at work.

TRUSTED SOURCES.
Women live it, wear it and feel it! Expert research simply backs it up.

"I was trying to exercise and experiencing significant breast pain. It lasted day and night. My doctor said, “You need a good bra.” When I started to investigate what makes a good bra, I was really disappointed by the lack of knowledge of breast biomechanics."
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr,
Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health

"There is plenty of research to show that wearing low breast support leads to increased breast pain and reduced movement efficiency during exercise or physical activity,"
Amy Sanchez, Senior Research Assoc.in Biomechanics -
Breast Health, University of Portsmouth

'"One thing that really surprised me when I started research in this area, was how little women know about their breasts. Many don’t know what they’re made of, or how a bra works and how it should fit.’"
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr, Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health

“The Mining industry has under-represented women in occupational safety and health research, including access to properly fitting PPE.”
