LED BY RESEARCH.
- The Right Fit is Critical: Global research shows proper breast support is essential for women's health.
- Why Fit Matters: Inadequate support alters posture & biomechanics, leading to increased musculoskeletal strain, tension headaches and upper body fatigue.
- The Impact of Poor Support: Over long shifts, physical stress builds up and can impact health, wellbeing and job participation.
Up to
60%
of women experience breast discomfort during physical activities.
Breast Support
4th
most reported barrier to physical participation.
Approximately
85%
of women wear the incorrect bra size - often due to outdated measurements, inconsistent brand sizing or never having received professional fitting.

FUNCTIONAL WORKWEAR
Every layer of operational apparel should serve to mitigate occupational physical stress.
For female personnel, proper breast support is the primary layer necessary to sustain physical endurance on shift.
MANAGING BIOMECHANICAL LOAD
Correct fit can actively mitigate the micro-stressors that lead to long-term fatigue and injury.
Bras belong on the essential workwear list as a proactive measure of workplace health and safety provisioning for your female workforce.

"This bra exceeded my expectations. It is exceptionally comfortable, lightweight and ideal for all-day wear. I thought underwire bras were for support but was amazed how well this design performed. Excellent fit, soft and breathable. It's quickly become my "go-to bra" and I highly recommend it!"

"Being fitted & supplied with the right bra for my job was a game-changer. I’m on my feet all day in the medical field and for the first time ever, taking off my bra isn’t the first thing I want to do when I get home!"

"As a qualified Occupational Therapist, the importance of proper support for women in shiftwork is essential. I'm thrilled to see a company bringing a curated range of bras to the workplace along with professional fitting. It's really understanding women’s needs & supporting their wellbeing at work."

Strength
is in the Unseen.
With a career spanning business ownership, operational management and executive recruitment, Catherine understands the resources sector from the inside out and the physical demands that define operational work. But it was her time working as a Bra Fit Specialist on weekends that exposed a problem no one on site was talking about & that women were managing on their own.
Women in FIFO were consistently asking for help to find a bra suitable for work. They were looking for a bra not only comfortable and supportive but could withstand the 12–15hrs required for the job. Catherine also realized these women were wearing the same bra to site that they wore on weekends.
This essential garment for women was being left entirely to self-management for a job that demands more and for many, that has meant tolerating discomfort as part of the job.
Catherine recognised the issue was systemic. As more women entered operational roles, the infrastructure supporting them hadn't kept pace. A well-fitted bra isn't discretionary - it's essential for women's health, comfort and performance on shift.
After five years of research and speaking with women in operations Catherine set about building a business with a clear solution.
She founded Undercover Essentials... designed specifically for employers to replace individual self-management with a properly considered system – EmpowerFit™ - providing professional fitting, a curated range and a managed allocation as part of workforce provisioning.
Alongside Catherine is Jocelyn, a trusted friend of 40 years with deep expertise in contracts administration and systems co-ordination. Together they bring six decades of corporate experience and a shared focus on doing things properly.
Every woman deserves to start a shift equipped on day one with a garment that says: “We’ve thought about you.”

TRUSTED SOURCES.
Women live it, wear it and feel it! Expert research simply backs it up.

"I was trying to exercise and experiencing significant breast pain. It lasted day and night. My doctor said, “You need a good bra.” When I started to investigate what makes a good bra, I was really disappointed by the lack of knowledge of breast biomechanics."
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr,
Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health

"There is plenty of research to show that wearing low breast support leads to increased breast pain and reduced movement efficiency during exercise or physical activity,"
Amy Sanchez, Senior Research Assoc.in Biomechanics -
Breast Health, University of Portsmouth

'"One thing that really surprised me when I started research in this area, was how little women know about their breasts. Many don’t know what they’re made of, or how a bra works and how it should fit.’"
Joanna Wakefield-Scurr, Professor in Biomechanics,
Faculty of Science and Health
